Redbud Way runs on your own Stripe account. Stripe charges its standard fees on each payment; Redbud Way charges nothing on top.

Other Stripe fees you may see
- Bank payments (ACH) on invoices and quotes, deposits included: 0.8%, capped at $5, instead of card processing (Stripe Invoicing still applies). They settle in a few business days.
- International cards: +1.5%.
- Disputes (chargebacks): $15 each.
- Payouts to your bank: free, daily, about 2 business days after each payment (Stripe’s US default; you can change the schedule in your Stripe Dashboard).
- Your first payout: typically 7 to 14 days while Stripe verifies your account.
- Instant Payouts, if you turn them on: 1.5% (50¢ minimum).
Worked examples
- $300 invoice: $10.20 in Stripe fees. Card $9.00 ($8.70 + $0.30) plus Stripe Invoicing $1.20. You receive $289.80.
- $2,000 quote with a 25% deposit: $66.60 in Stripe fees. Card fees on two payments, $14.80 on the $500 deposit and $43.80 on the $1,500 balance ($58.60), plus Stripe Invoicing $8.00 (0.4% of $2,000). You receive $1,933.40.
- $6,000 invoice paid by bank transfer: $29.00 in Stripe fees. ACH $5.00 (capped) plus Stripe Invoicing $24.00. You receive $5,971.00. Paid by card, the same invoice costs $198.30.
- $200 fixed-price booking: $6.10 in Stripe fees. Card $6.10, nothing else. You receive $193.90.
- $150 monthly cleaning: $5.70 a month in Stripe fees. Card $4.65 plus Stripe Billing $1.05. You receive $144.30 a month.

- How much does Redbud Way cost?
- Nothing. Redbud Way has one plan, and it is free: invoices your customers pay by card or bank transfer, quotes with deposits, online booking links for your services, fixed-price services, recurring billing, automatic payouts, a customer list with each customer’s history, and automatic Google review requests, with no job limits and a 0% platform fee. Stripe’s standard fees apply to every payment, and Stripe bills them to your own Stripe account: 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment (or 0.8%, capped at $5, when a customer pays an invoice by bank transfer), plus 0.4% Stripe Invoicing on invoices and quotes, or 0.7% Stripe Billing on recurring charges. - Does Redbud Way take a percentage of my jobs?
- No. Redbud Way never takes a percentage or platform cut of your jobs. You keep what you charge minus Stripe’s standard fees, which Stripe bills to your own Stripe account: 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment, plus 0.4% on invoices and quotes, or 0.7% on recurring charges (fixed-price bookings have no extra fee). On a $300 invoice that is $10.20, so you receive $289.80.
- Is there a limit on how many jobs I can bill?
- No. There is no cap on invoices, quotes, bookings, or recurring charges, and no card is required to start. Free means no Redbud Way subscription and no cut, not no fees: Stripe’s standard fees apply to each payment.
- How fast do I get paid?
- Payouts to your linked bank are free. Stripe pays out automatically, about two business days after each payment. Your first payout typically takes 7 to 14 days while Stripe verifies your account. There are no transfers to request. If you turn on Stripe Instant Payouts, Stripe charges 1.5% (50¢ minimum) for each one.
- How does Redbud Way compare on cost to Jobber, Housecall Pro, or Thumbtack?
- Jobber Payments charges 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment, which is lower than our invoice and quote total of 3.3% + 30¢ (Stripe card processing plus 0.4% Stripe Invoicing). But Jobber needs a paid plan, from $29 a month for one user, and Housecall Pro’s processing (as low as 2.59%) comes with plans from $59 a month. Redbud Way has no subscription, so the only difference is that 0.4% against Jobber’s monthly fee: if you invoice less than about $7,250 a month, Redbud Way costs less than Jobber’s cheapest plan ($29 a month, prepaid yearly), and less than about $12,250 a month against its $49 month-to-month price. Unlike lead marketplaces such as Thumbtack or Angi, Redbud Way never charges per lead and never takes a percentage of the job. Stripe’s standard fees apply to the payments you collect.
